The Exotic Shorthair breed was developed with the idea of creating a smaller, shorthaired version of the popular Persian cat which may not be evident from its name.

Appearance wise it posseses a dense, fluffy fur coat, a face that is broad and oval with large round eyes, and its weight is around 3.5-6 kilograms. By nature it is quite gentle and calm kitten and it is also very friendly which makes it live peacefully with other animals and children. Compared to its long haired counterpart, the Persian, it is distinctly more energetic but it can still be adapted to living in apartments. What’s delightful is that this breed is very loving and affectionate with a very easy-going nature that makes it an ideal lap cat.
