The Persian breed is among the most common household kitten in many countries all over the world. These originate in Persia (now known as Iran). Their first recorded date of existence dates to the 17th century.

Their appearance is flat faced with doll-like facial features, tiny ears, and thick, fluffy fur coats. Persian kittens require intensive grooming. De-shedding, combing and wiping the tear ducts have to be done almost daily. This breed is notorious for being lazy, shy towards unknown people, at the same time quite calm and loving towards their owners.
